Journey to the Bottom of the Java Sea
Explorers have tried to show that there are the remains of a civilization that drowned at the time of the floods created by the last ice age, as hypothesized by Oppenheimer. One of them is the seaman, Captain Hans Berekoven.

IN the mid-1990s Captain Berekoven sailed for months around the waters of the Java Sea. He captained an Australian Navy seismic survey ship, which was working for two international oil companies, Arco and Conoco. Seismic surveys are the usual method used for researching land structure below the surface of the sea, specifically as related to oil, natural gas and mineral explorations.
