Saving the Turtle
LAST April a symposium was held on the Greek island of Crete to discuss the fate of the worlds sea turtles. About 800 biologists and conservationists from all over the world attended the annual meeting to find ways to save the endangered species from extinction. New ways, including use of satellites to locate the habitat and monitor the migratory pattern of the species, featured at the meeting.

FIRST time attending the symposium? asked a fellow passenger sitting next to me on the plane. Yes, I said curtly. I suspected the man who introduced himself as Michael L.
