Regional Heads Responsible for Forest Fires and Haze

PRESIDENT Yudhoyono has given his instruction that regional leaders at provincial and municipality/regency levels should bear the responsibility in case of forest fires and haze in their regions.

“The regions must also prepare themselves very early,” said Coordinating Minister for People’s Welfare, Aburizal Bakrie, after a limited cabinet meeting on handling forest fires, on Thursday la
