This resident of Kampung Tanah Merah, Kramat Tunggak, South Jakarta has found a way to make water safe for consumption even though it is not boiled first. “I use Sodis,” she said.

To treat water in the Sodis style is to store the unboiled water in a plastic (water) bottle after its contents have been finished. Place it
