To be a Lama

Deities' charms fill the air of Tibet, the Land of Snow at the roof of the world. It is home not only to snow bears, wild horses and atheistic and ancient cannibalistic tribes but also to holy men: the lamas.

Throughout the centuries, this region has come under Chinese and Mongolian rule. Mongolian princes appointed lamas and conferred titles upon them.
