His honorary doctorate is decidedly not a reward for Usman Sapta Odang's "active participation" in the "brawl" that occurred at the annual session of the People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) a year ago. It is still unclear what the degree is actually for. Nevertheless, to Usman, the degree is important and something to be proud of.
