SOFTLY, the breeze caresses the waters of Tomini, off the coast of Central Sulawesi. Impervious to the chill, Ridu, 29, and his 50-year-old father Ua Biba, paddle on in their boat (perahu) to find a good spot to fish for the night. Out at sea, a seemingly empty boat draws their attention. Instantly, Ridu recognizes it as the one belonging to his friend, Rindan.
