A Disappearing Economy

Israel's economy continues to deteriorate. The kibbutzim need to do some business acrobatics.

THE rows of bright-colored containers were piled up in the front yard. A worker was busily transferring them onto a truck. Once finished, dozens of the steel boxes, the majority of which contained farm produce from several neighboring kibbutzim, headed to the port, ready to be shipped to several neighboring countries.
