ON Friday, July 15, hundreds of soldiers left their barracks as Turkey erupted in violence. With their tanks and military vehicles, soldiers blocked the Bosporus Bridge in Istanbul, occupied Ataturk International Airport for two hours and sent F-16s buzzing low over the nations capital in Ankara. Just a few hours later, however, the show was over.
