Unconcerned with the world around him, 18-year-old Budi Santosa reacts strongly if the volume of music on his radio or the audio of the television featuring his favorite Indian films, is lowered.

"He spends most of his day listening to the radio and watching television, the volume on high," says the 41-year old Suhendra, th
