Wondama Bay bears witness to the shipment of tempting Papuan logs, legally and illegally.

THE empty barges headed for the log pond on one side of the Wasior port. Located in Wondama Bay, the port was teeming with large trucks moving back and forth daily to carry logs. From the trucks, logs were unloaded onto the vacant barges. Then tugboats would guide the barges to the waters of Wondama, where export vessels were ready to ship the valuable commodity to other cities or countries.
