IF likened to a tree, the Bank Indonesia Employees Welfare Foundation (YKKBI) is a giant banyan. Under its shade, capital is scattered everywhere: deposits, securities, mutual funds, and the like. Its value in 2001 was recorded at more than Rp1.5 trillion. In addition, there was share ownership in 22 companies, worth Rp568 billion, some of which were even co-established by YKKBI.
