JUST a few days after he was sworn in as Director-General of Customs, Anwar Suprijadi, 58, cracked open a case of fake import documents at Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta. We hope this isnt just a false start, but it seems genuine enough. The goods were textiles from China, but the documents indicated rubber. And the state stands to lose Rp1.2 billion by its avoidance of paying the right tax.
