The trial at the Central Jakarta District Court on Tuesday in early June did not last long. Only minutes after its opening, presiding judge Iim Nurohim was already banging his gavel to indicate the trial had ended.
The agenda for the lawsuit was filed by the Advocacy Team for the Right to Water against the agreement on the management of water in Jakarta, between PAM Jaya and PAM Lyonnaise Jaya (Palyja) and AetraAir Jakarta. The hearing on that day was postponed for a week because representatives from PAM Jaya were unable to attend.
