MARCUS Fernaldi Gideon and Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo, an Indonesian male doubles team, emerged as champions in the Badminton World Federation (BWF) Dubai World Superseries finals held at the Hamdan Sport Complex, December 13-17. The pair beat China’s Liu Cheng/Zhang Nan, with a 21-16 and 21-15 score.

The whole of 2017 saw seven superseries tournaments with US$250,000 (around Rp3.3 billion) in total prizes, six superseries premier tournaments with
