Heads Not Guilty, Tails Not Guilty

In a review of its previous decision, the Supreme Court has acquitted Tommy Suharto in the Bulog corruption case. Is all the brouhaha about eradicating corruption just so much 'rhubarb' given that the judiciary has not changed one iota since the topple of the New Order?

The flag should be flown at half-mast for justice. It has been buried under the weight of money and power (combined with fear). The reform movement which demanded the total eradication of corruption, collusion and nepotism (KKN) from Indonesia has been reduced to little more than rhetoric.
