THE 200-square-meter room was divided up by class partitions. Located on one of the floors in the Department of Industry & Trade building, it is here that the 11 members of the Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) first had their offices. “It was very unpretentious,” said Sutrisno Iwantono, a former KPPU member who in 2000 had his office there. The office, he said, only had a table and chairs for the members.
