Testing Porn in the Courts
The people of Bali are preparing to launch a judicial review against the Pornography Law. Even if the law comes in to effect, Balinese opposition is “non-negotiable.”

TWENTY people sat around a table in a food stall on Jalan Drupadi in Denpasar. On Monday last week, as they ate tipat cantok, a dish unique to Bali, the non-government organization activists, artists and lawyers were involved in a serious discussion about the Pornography Law, which was ratified by the House of Representatives (DPR) on Thursday two weeks ago.
