Obstructed in the Courts

These are the articles in the Corruption Courts Bill that are believed will obstruct the work of the KPK.

Article 1 Paragraph 4

“A public prosecutor is a public prosecutor as regulated under current legislation”.

Other than the AGO, the article does not clearly state whether the KPK has the authority to conduct prosecutions. It could transpire that judges interpret this as meaning that only the AGO can conduct prosecutions as referred to in Law No. 16/2004 on the Judiciary.
