ONLY a few neighbors knew of the marriage celebration at house number 8 in Kampung Kosong, Panunggangan, Tangerang. That morning in mid-July 2007, at her parents' home Rhani Juliani tied the knot with Nasrudin Zulkarnaen who presented Rp7 million in dowry. No penghulu (Muslim leader) was present. "It's only a family affair. They planned to get married formally in Mecca," Parno Sanjaya, a witness to the marriage, told Tempo last Thursday.
