THE letter from the Constitutional Court surprised Andrea Hirata. Sent on February 10, the letter requests the author of the novel Laskar Pelangi (Rainbow Warrior) to serve as an expert witness in the judicial review session over the Law on the Prevention of Blasphemy and Abuse of Religion. Along with the letter is a brief explanation why such a law needs to be judicially tested.
