The Information Commission instructed the police to publicly identify senior officers suspected of having ludicrously fat bank accounts. The old argument that such matters are strictly confidential has finally been silenced, at least for now.

THE decision on whether the public had a right to information on the bulging bank accounts of a number of senior police officers was read out in the plenary chamber of the Constitutional Court on Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat in West Jakarta.
