THE news was received by investigators from the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) on Thursday evening two weeks ago. Patra M. Zen informed them that his client, Panda Nababan, was to fly to Batam the following day to attend a national leadership meeting of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle. On Thursday morning Panda had sent a letter stating that he would be unable to answer a KPK summons.
