Nunun Nurbaeti was finally named a suspect for proffering traveler’s checks to 39 members of the DPR. The financier, however, could conceivably get away untraced.

THE announcement that Nunun Nurbaeti is named a suspect shocked not only the politicians at Senayan but also the top officials and investigators of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). The KPK investigators did not expect their chief, Busyro Muqoddas, to announce the matter during the work meeting with the House of Representatives (DPR) Law Commission on Monday last week.
