THE commotion shattered the morning calm of the area near Sanur beach, Bali. On Friday two weeks ago, a group of men had confronted another man in the parking area of Lari’s Shop on Jalan Hang Tuah. The average-build man resisted and struggled hard when the others tried to apprehend him. But a few seconds later he went weak when one of the men attempting to seize him pulled out a can of soft drink from the man’s bag.
