Corrupt officials often escape arrest, some even retain their positions. The few corruption cases that reach the courts are usually dismissed.

The present judicature on corruption should be overturned. If the cone shape that characterizes such judicature is over-turned, the majority of corruption cases would reach the courts, judges would pass harsher sentences, and the state would seize the assets of corrupt officials.
