The disappearance of Tommy Suharto has cast a dark shadow over Indonesian law. The eldest son of former president Suharto has so far managed to evade 18 months' imprisonment on corruption charges. Following presidential rejection of his request for pardon, Tommy disappeared, and is now the nations most famous and most wanted fugitive.
