Taufiqurrohman Syahuri, who heads the Judicial Commission's Judges Recruitment Division, said that picking strong candidates for the post of a Supreme Court Justice was no easy feat. Many candidates possess high intellectual capabilities, but they either had flawed track records or kept poor health. As a consequence, the number of names of candidates submitted to the House Law Commission for final selection often does not meet the required quota.
