Death for Traders of Devils Dust

More people accused of involvement in narcotics cases face the death sentence. But, more important, how can narcotics distribution networks in the country be eradicated?

The Tangerang District Court would appear to have broken the record for death sentences. In the past two years, at least 14 people accused of narcotics dealings have been sentenced to death in this court located in Banten province. One of the accused (see table) is Muhammad Abdul Hafeez, a Pakistani, who was recently sentenced.

The panel of judges headed by Saleh Mokoginta decided there was sufficient evidence to convict Hafeez for carrying 1.05
