POLICE Insp. Gen. Ferdy Sambo had been waiting for the arrival of his wife, Putri Candrawathi, on the third floor of their home on Jalan Saguling III, Pancoran, South Jakarta. Putri, accompanied by three police adjutants and two housekeepers, had just arrived from Magelang, Central Java, on the afternoon of Friday, July 8. She went up to the third floor after taking a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test on the first floor.
