Savage Mutilations in Mimika
Papuans at Mimika have been brutally murdered and mutilated. This was done by members of the military and civilians with arms dealings and robbery as alleged motives.

THE mutilation of four Mimika residents on Monday, August 22, that shocked Central Papua is prompting the victims’ families to evacuate. They have asked for protection from Amnesty International Indonesia in Menteng, Central Jakarta. “We are still scared,” said Andrean Gwijangge, a relative of Irian Nirigi, one of the mutilation victims, on Wednesday, September 7.
