A bill on state secrets is to be prioritized at the DPR. Of more concern, though, is that this bill is as repressive as an earlier anti-subversion law.

The era of openness the public has only recently begun to truly enjoy is apparently shortly to come to a close. How could this not be so, should the reportedly militaristic Law on State Secrets be promulgated? The bill is thought to be as draconian as the anti-subversion law of 1963 that became infamous as a source of suppression and was finally withdrawn in 1999, after the reformation began.
