Judges in the Dock

THE dock no longer seems to be the special preserve of big-time corruptors and chicken thieves. Instead, our judges, who are supposed to uphold the majesty of the law, are now in the firing line. The charges against them are not all that different from those laid against the thieves they once judged, but are infinitely more serious. Namely, that they removed justice's blindfold for a pocketful of rupiah.
