On Thursday, May 30, the Indaragiri Hulu District Court sentenced the hunter of a Sumatran tiger to five months in prison and a Rp300,000 fine. The court found Bachtiar, an inhabitant of Rantau Langsat village in Indragiri Hulu district, Riau, guilty of capturing and killing a Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae).
