Last Friday, November 29, the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) ratified Law No. 31/1999 on the Commission for Eliminating Criminal Acts of Corruption. House speaker Akbar Tandjung brought the session to a close. Ironically enough, he continues to chair the DPR, despite being sentenced to three years in prison on corruption charges.
