A Governor's Trials
In the wake of the catastrophic earthquake and tsunami which struck Aceh last weekend, trial has begun over Aceh Governor Abdullah Puteh on corruption charges.

THE Governor of Aceh, Abdullah Puteh, is following news of the disaster which struck his fellow citizens from his prison cell at Salemba Prison in Jakarta. "Every day, he reads seven newspapers and several magazines," prison officer Mashudin told Tempo on Thursday.
