IT'S funny and amusing, that picture of a pot-bellied, bare-chested, perspiring man in the likeness of Akbar Tandjung published in the January 8, 2002 issue of the daily Rakyat Merdeka. The caricature, accompanying an article "Akbar Finished, Golkar Sheds Bloody Tears", referred to the Chairman of the Golkar Party then just declared a suspect in the Bulog financial scandal.
