Accommodating Injustice?

The DPR is currently deliberating the bill on the Commission for Truth and Reconciliation. But the bill has been criticized for disregarding the rights of victims of human rights violations.

LAST Tuesday, only a handful of the 50 appointed special committee members attended a meeting scheduled to deliberate the bill on the formation of the Commission for Truth and Reconciliation at the House of Representatives (DPR) headquarters in Senayan, South Jakarta. The meeting was held with members of the Indonesian Advocates Association (Ikadin), who had planned to give legal input regarding some provisions contained within the bill.
