ALREADY eight years have passed since the July 27, 1996 incident took place, yet the circumstances surrounding it remain shrouded in mystery.

No legal action has been taken against the high-ranking Indonesian Military (TNI) officers suspected of masterminding the incident. In fact, one of the main suspects is former Jaya Military District commander, Lt. Gen. (ret) Sutiyoso, who is currently Governor of Jakarta.

Police questioned Sutiyoso about the
