WE were overjoyed when on Thursday last week it was publicly announced that Tempo, our magazine, had won two awards. This magazine won two awards simultaneously from the prestigious 2010 Mochtar Lubis Awards. Lubis, the late journalist and cultural icon, is well-respected in Indonesia’s world of journalism. The daily Indonesia Raya newspaper which he founded used to produce brilliant investigative reports, among them an expose of corruption wit
