Members of the House of Representatives (DPR) are the bearers of the people’s aspirations. However, the fact is that today the House has become an area for the political elites to quarrel and try to bring each other down, even though the cost of a single session is enough to feed all of Indonesia’s poor.

Should the DPR be accountable to the voices of millions of Indonesians? Can’t they see the condition of the people they repre
