In my opinion, none of the community organizations are truly detached from the regimes, either the New Order, the Old Order, or that of President Wahid. Who could deny for example that Nahdlatul Ulama, did not appreciate the grants it received from the Suharto regime? Gus Dur himself was long involved in the Center for Strategic and Intelligence Studies (CSIS) that helped strengthen the position of the New Order regime in limiting the political f
