Two Sides of the Chinese Issue

I would like to comment on Mr. Edwin Siregar's letter in TEMPO (May 15). If I'm not mistaken, the Indonesian constitution mentions equal rights for its citizens, regardless of their heritage. All ethnic groups living in Indonesia have the right to use their name, language and culture according to their own tradition. If this principle is not practiced, then every citizen must of course try to fix this problem so that everyone is treated equally.
