I am one of the many TEMPO readers who always look forward to reading essays (SIDELINES) written by Mas Goenawan Mohamad (GM). Quite frankly, one of the strongest reasons that attract me to read them, besides their depth, is timeliness.

Lately, I don’t see it. I have been waiting for GM to write about Baharuddin Lopa. Is it that, in your opinion, Lopa is nothing special? Or perhaps you don’t have enough fond memories of him?
