Policy on Budget Cuts

PRESIDENT Prabowo Subianto has instructed ministries to cut expenditures. This directive has been supported by the House of Representatives (DPR) through a statement by its Speaker, Puan Maharani. In reality, this is not the first time a president has ordered budget savings. Previous presidents have issued similar directives, even repeatedly, yet they have never been effectively realized. Budget leaks continue to occur
