Legally speaking, the removal of the chief of the National Police has created its own problem. Members of the House of Representatives (DPR) and the speaker of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR) have pointed out that President Abdurrahman 'Gus Dur' Wahid's decision to remove Gen. Rusdihardjo from his post was a violation of MPR decree No.VII/2000. In Chapter 7, Article 3 of the decree, it is clearly stated that chief of the National Polic
