Rifky Ardiyansyah sat with his back against a concrete column on the second floor of the Istiqlal Mosque in Jakarta. The 28-year-old man seemed busy with his cell phone. Now and again, he would chat with Tri Priyono, his colleague sitting in front of him.

The two men relaxed at the mosque for almost a half an hour, while waiting for the call to maghrib (sunset) prayer. It was easy to relax as a breeze continued to flow through the mosque, althou
