SHOUTS echoed under the dome at the Muhammadiyah University of Malang (UMM) campus in East Java. Rosyad Sholeh, chairman of the election committee for the 45th Muhammadiyah Congress, announced that Din Syamsuddin had been elected as Chairman of the Central Leadership of Muhammadiyah for the 2005-2010 period.

Long live Din Syamsuddin! Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar! resounded the thousands of congress participants, last Thursday. They expressed their
