IT is a very brief code: A15. Today nearly every Papuan understands this code, which has been widely circulated through cellular phone short messages, and became a daily topic at coffee stalls and subject in meetings.

This A15 refers to August 15, the date when the Papuan Tribal Council will hold a grand meeting and announce their evaluation of the special autonomy status granted to Papua. It will also be asserted on this day that the special auto
