THE friendly disposition of residents of Kembar hamlet is gone as if swept away by waves. The people of this hamlet, located in Teluk Pambang village, Bantan district, Bengkalis regency, Riau, used to have an easy smile. Today, however, their faces look gloomy. They look suspiciously at every newcomer, going even so far as to frisk visitors. That was what a Tempo journalist experienced when visiting the hamlet of 1,560 people two weeks ago.
